Oberon the king of the Fairies and his queen Titania have come to Athens to attend Theseus and Hippolyta wedding Titania the wife of Oberon refused to hand over the Indian kid to her husband (King). It hurt the King and decided to punish her. He calls Robin to help the king with his spirit with a magical juice derived from a flowers called love in idleness. If it is applied on the eyelids of a sleeping person upon walking that person will fall in love with the first thing he/she sees. King wants his wife to fall in love with an animal in the forest where she wants to attend the wedding. The wedding is taking place in the forest under the light of moon.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream Summary: The play begins with Hermia who loves Lysander but her father wants Hermia to marry Demetrius. Hermia arranges Helena for wedding but Demetrius breaks with Helena and he wants to marry Hermia. According to a law if a daughter refuses the suitor chosen by her father then she would be punished, but Theseus gives her father then she would be punished, but Theseus gives her another choice.

Other character like Nick Bottom, Francis Flute, Robin starveling, Tom shout and Snug are going to present a play on the wedding of Theseus with the theme of lamentable comedy and the cruelest death of Pyramus and Thisbe.

He starts to follow them with the hope that he will find his love (Hermia). Helena also accompanies him to the forests, claiming to give more love than Hermia, but Demetrius scolds her and insults her Oberon orders Puck to apply the magical juice on the young Athenian man, but Puck mistakenly applies it on the eyelids of Lysander who was sleeping and that time Helena was coming across when Lysander wakes up and he falls in love with Helena, but Helena considers it a trick to be played on her. When Hermia awakes she observes that Lysander is gone, she goes to find him Demetrius has killed Lysander and he becomes angry.

When Demetrius falls asleep Puck applies the magical juice on Demetrius. When he waked up he sees Helena and falls in love with her. Now Demetrius and Lysander are both in love with Helena but she thinks it a trick. Hermia when meets Lysander asks her why he left her on which Lysander tells her he has never loved Hermia but Helena. Hermic blames Helena for all this, but Helena believes that Hermia has joined hands with the two men to trick her. Lysander sick of Hermia now, tells her to leave. The two men decide to have a duel to prove who loves Helena the more. The two ladies go away, and Oberon orders Puck to remove the charm (magic) from Lysander so that Lysander could love Hermia, while Demetrius still loves Helena.

Last Part of A Midsummer Night’s Dream Summary

In the Mean Time the players were practicing for the play, Bottom is seen by Puck, he transforms his head into that of donkey. When the other players see him they run screaming with fear. Bottom sings to himself, Titania on which magical juice was applied waked up and she sees Bottom and falls in love with her. Having achieved his goals Oberon releases his queen (Titania) and also orders to remove the magic from bottom Demetrius again sleeps and Puck uses the magical juice on him so that he starts love with Hermia.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream Summary: Theseus and Hippolyta come on the scene and wake up the lovers and since Demetrius does not love Hermia. All of them after the sleep feel like they were in dreams and do not remember anything about the real situation. The six players presents the play, the guests laugh and enjoy the play very much. After the play, all of them go back to their beds.
